Every season Patrick researches between 150 and 200 films that are scheduled for release into cinemas. Patrick frequently attends festivals and industry screenings and makes an annual pilgrimage to the London Film Festival. His job is to schedule the films in around our lives events, looking out for ones which with can show as Elevenses, Nappy Mondays and Film Forums, book them with distributors and write the brochure and web copy. Other work responsibilities include leading Film Forum discussion groups, booking directors, producers and actors to appear as guest speakers and fundraising and developing various other film related projects such as the archive film project Tales of Gloucestershire, which saw him produce a feature length documentary, and developing a film festival and partnerships with other venues.
Patrick also programmes film for Salisbury International Arts Festival, Salisbury Arts Centre, Poundarts in Corsham and was involved in setting up the BFI Rural Touring Pilot Scheme in Wiltshire.
