Tewkesbury Art Studios opened two years ago in February 2017. In that time people have come from all over the country to enjoy the creative workshops on offer. You can attend workshops as an individual, book in a party for an off the peg session (bring your own wine) or commission a bespoke painting tutorial for corporate or private events.
Resident artist Jane Clatworthy works from the upstairs studio and downstairs is the public studio where classes and workshops are held.
This exhibition showcases work by both Jane and her students and provides a glimpse of some of the highly acclaimed workshops on offer.
The intuitive art weekends are all about finding the fun in creating, becoming responsive to your inner artist and overcoming the fear of making mistakes.
At the mixed media weekends students are introduced to a wealth of techniques and mediums which they use to create beautifully unique artworks
Introduction to landscape breaks down methods that can be employed to give your landscape painting a convincing edge. In the two day workshop the confidence of our students grow immensely and they produce accomplished canvases to take home
On the whimsical art weekend students delve into imaginative fairy tale work, learning to use paint, pastels, ink and collage to produce cute characters and whimsical children.
Added to these popular weekend workshops there are also plenty of two to four hour workshops, like our popular Klimt me up, that are great for anyone who hasn’t painted since school but wants to have a go in a supportive and friendly environment. Life drawing days and children’s holiday workshops are always well attended.
