Why support the Roses Theatre
We aspire to be an outward looking theatre that is creative, innovative, regionally and nationally distinctive, presenting performing arts events and film screenings of the highest quality. We reach out to our local and regional communities through arts participation projects that are fulfilling and life enhancing.
The Roses is a registered charity but receives only a small amount of public subsidy. So we greatly appreciate the support of our friends and individual donors, local businesses, charitable trusts and other grant making bodies that help us continue to enrich the cultural life of Gloucestershire.
As one of Gloucestershire’s leading arts venues the Roses regularly promotes some of the finest national work in the country including the programming of new companies and emerging arts forms, as well as screening the very best of national and international cinema. Each year we also give thousands of people the chance to participate in arts projects that tackle issues the region faces such as rural isolation and social exclusion.
However, providing these opportunities for people to enjoy and participate in is expensive. There are a number of ways to support the theatre and we ask for your support to enable the Roses to continue to thrive and flourish.
