Take Part

Hospital Art Project

We are working with Tewkesbury League Of Friends to commission and coordinate the new art work in the children’s waiting area in the new Tewkesbury Hospital.

Funded by the Arts Council, we have formed a consultation group of eight young people from Alderman Knight School, Queen Margaret’s School, Tirlebrook School and Carrant Brook School who will fundamentally select the successful artist to create the work.

The children shortlisted an amazing array of applications from artists who hoped to be commissioned, down to just three.

Workshops led by the artists, then took place in each of the children’s schools which led the children to come to their final decision.

The Roses is now working with the artist selected Imogen Harvey Lewis, whilst the work is created.
