Arts Award

     

Arts Award is a national quaification supporting young people who want to deepen their engagement with the arts and build creative and leadership skills.

Arts Award is managed by Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England.


The Roses is an Arts Award Centre; The Take Part team are trained Arts Award advisers and can assist young people aged 11 – 25 to achieve the Award at Bronze and Silver level. The Roses can also assist schools and youth organisations running the Award by providing opportunities for young people to enjoy and appreciate the arts, meet arts professionals, showcase work, take part in arts activities and develop leadership skills.  

What The Roses Offers:
 

o   Opportunities to meet visiting companies through master classes / curtain raiser performances / post-show discussions / film forum

o   Space to showcase performance work in Cafe/Bar and on stage (availability permitting)

o   Surgeries with Theatre Gloucestershire in Roses Cafe/Bar

o   Work experience; Take Over Day / Youth Programming Forum / Volunteering / Peer Mentoring

o   Participatory activities; Youth Theatre, Youth Dance, Youth Music (FREE), Future Film Makers (free)

o   Advise for schools and community organisations running Arts Award at Bronze/Silver level

o   Educational workshops for schools and colleges linked to live programme to aid critical thinking

o   Inclusive activities and performances; Audio Described, Sensory Friendly, Signed Performance

o   A diverse and innovative programme of live, film and take part events!
