About Brassed Off
Complementing this year’s TADS performance is this classic British social realist comedy.
Set in 1980’s Yorkshire during the miners’ strike, it is the story of a community struggling to survive when its chief industry is closed down. Personal and public dramas reveal the extraordinary resilience of the people and the instinct for survival which keeps their spirits up in the face of hardship. It is also a romance between father and son, between boy and girl and between man and music.
Dir: Mark Herman
