About Didi

In 2008, during the last month of summer before high school begins, an impressionable 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy learns what his family can't teach him: how to skate, how to flirt, and how to love your mum.

Loosely based on the director Sean Wang’s own upbringing, this hilarious and insightful coming of age tale provides a unique Asian American perspective on the chaotic awkwardness of adolescence.

Dir: Sean Wang

“Easily one of the best, most seamless films I’ve seen on the experience of growing up online”
