Set after the events of the first film in the 1970s, a 12-year-old Gru is a fanboy of a team of supervillains known as the Vicious 6 and hatches a plan to become evil enough to join them. When the Vicious 6 oust their leader, Gru interviews to become their newest member. It does not go well, and things only get worse after Gru steals a precious stone from them and suddenly finds himself the mortal enemy of the apex of evil.
The Railway Children Return (PG) | Thursday 4 August 2pm
The very welcome and belated sequel to the family classic takes in place in 1944, as we are introduced to three new Railway Children who have been evacuated from their home in Salford to the Yorkshire village of Oakworth. Waiting to meet them at the station is Bobbie (played Jennie Agutter, reprising her role from the original film), along with her daughter and grandson. When the children discover an injured American soldier hiding out in the railyard, they are thrust into a dangerous quest to assist their new friend who, like them, is a long way from home.

Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack- Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel - to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the superheroes.

The sequel to the smash hit comedy picks up where the first film left off, following the group from the highs of performing on the pyramid stage at Glastonbury to the lows of struggling with their second album. During a divisive tour of South Australia, they will trace their ancestors who were transported in the 1800s, embrace a new community and discover their musical DNA.
