About The Big Local Night Out
The Big Local Night Out brings together local talent alongside guest artists from the top of the UK's performing arts scene.
Each event is fully funded, enabling The Roses to retain 100% of the ticket income, sustaining arts and culture here in Tewkesbury.
Hosted by Comedy Magician, Tom Elliott, this unique series of events welcomes a range of artists from West End performers, to the support acts of big name tours and rising stars.
The first showcase on 5 May features:
Charlie Green who was catapulted into the limelight at just ten years old, when he wowed the Britain’s Got Talent judges with his rendition of the Sinatra classic, Summer Wind in 2008. Over the past 12 years, Charlie has toured in numerous countries, including Italy, China, Japan, the Philippines and Canada. Jimmy Osmond became Charlie’s manager and mentor and he spent over 3 years touring the USA & UK with The Osmonds.
The Choir Factor who were founded in 2009 by Musical Director Es Bettis. Our choirs perform Pop Rock, Motown and Gospel classics from the ’60s through to the present day from a whole host of artists including The Real Thing, Jess Glynne, Movies/Musicals, Aha, to name but a few.
Becoming a member of The Choir Factor is a great social experience with many opportunities to perform with a group of like-minded people. It is also an excellent way to unwind at the end of a stressful day singing along to the songs that you know and love. Membership gives you the chance to perform including members having opportunities to sing solos! The revamped arrangements by Es are learnt and performed at local events throughout the year and as a finale at our annual end of year shows in the Gloucester Guildhall.
Es is a free-lance musician, as well as a contemporary vocal coach, piano teacher and in more recent years a themed workshop facilitator for corporate events! She’s never at home and you have to be quick to catch her on the phone!!!!!
