The Heat dance school was first established in January 2021 when its founder Holi Ward had the bright idea to start an evening dance class for her friends who she used to dance with in school.

Coming out of the pandemic, the new class was a hit: a friendly and sociable place to keep fit, have a laugh and dance. On the back of its positive reception with her friends, Holi decided to open it out to the public and since then it has gone from strength to strength.

It has grown in numbers, diversity and confidence now offering 4 adult dance classes, 4 childrens dance classes and a whole range of dancing styles and abilities. In this, their debut show, The Heat have invited various other talents from the Tewkesbury to join them for an explosion for the senses, with beat bopping hip hop, soulful singing and high energy street dance.
