In a small village in Iran, nine-year-old Yahya and his friend Leyla work hard to support their families. They spend their days scouring local rubbish dumps for anything of value. One day they find a precious golden statue. Sharing a passion for cinema, Yahya's boss Naser Khan decides to help them find the owner. A heart-warming and typically Iranian adventure, full of childlike wonder and sly social commentary.
