The Roses hosts a number of choirs and workshops throughout the year. The benefits of group music making are well known - it's such a fun and sociable activity that will leave you feeling wonderful!

The following choirs are available to get involved in:

The Roses’ Choir with Lindsay Martin

Enjoy the uplifting experience of singing together. You don’t need to be an expert – this is all about having fun. Our choir get regular opportunities to perform throughout the year, both at The Roses and at external events to which they have been invited.

When: Tuesdays at 9.30am
Where: The Roses
Cost: £6 per week, payable half termly - you can book here or pay on arrival

Sing for Breath with Lindsay Martin

Join us for a friendly, fun and inclusive group singing session that helps to support lung health. This will be a supportive and non-judgemental session where the singing serves as a way to help manage lung health using warm ups, breathing exercises, relaxation exercises and songs. You don’t have to have sung before and you can participate at your own pace. We’ll breathe together, sing together and laugh together too!

Second Tuesday of every month, 2pm - 3.15pm for singing, 3.15pm – 4pm for coffee & chat
Tuesday 11 October (The Roses)
Tuesday 8 November (The Roses)
Tuesday 13 December ( Holy Trinity Church)

Singing for Wellbeing with Lindsay Martin

A friendly group singing session using music for relaxation and enjoyment. No experience necessary and you don’t need to be able to read music. We will learn energising and meaningful songs together alongside relaxation.

When: First Wednesday of every month, 2pm - 3.15pm
Where: Tewkesbury Library
Cost: Free - no booking required

Sing 2 Remember 









In collaboration with The Roses and Mindsong

The Roses Theatre is happy to be working in partnership with Mindsong to offer Sing 2 Remember, a supported, thoroughly enjoyable, dementia-friendly singing session that's all about singing together, sharing memories, making friendships, and accessing support if needed.

The session is for:

  • People with dementia still living at home (and those that care for them)
  • People experiencing loneliness or isolation 
  • People who love to sing, but no longer feel comfortable singing in a choir

The group will be starting fortnightly from January 2023, but we are offering a taster session this Autumn:

When: Thursday 20 October 2pm - 3.15pm
Where: The Baptist Church, Station Rd, Tewkesbury 
Cost: Free, donations for coffee and cake afterwards
