JobsJob Description
The Role
We are seeking two dynamic Creative Practitioners to lead young people in creatively reinterpreting oral histories through any artistic discipline—be it performance, visual art, music, film, writing or mixed media. Practitioners will facilitate workshops and support participants in shaping a public sharing of their work with the communities and original storytellers.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Roots and Reflections is a creative heritage project in partnership with Gloucestershire Libraries and Gloucestershire Archives and funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, that connects generations through storytelling. Recorded memories of older Gloucestershire residents—including those living with dementia—will be shared with young people aged 11–18. These youth groups will work with Creative Practitioners to transform the stories into original creative expressions for performance, exhibition or digital sharing.
