THE ROLE
It’s an exciting time to be joining the Roses Theatre, under the new leadership of Olivier award winning director Derek Bond, the Roses is planning an expansion of self-produced work. The Head of Technical and Stage at the Roses will play a fundamental role in developing and delivering The Roses ambitious vision, mission and strategy for its future.
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious person to provide excellent management of a small technical team, and:
- Manage technical and maintenance across all areas of the organisation: financial control; staffing and line management; effective operations and maintenance of the building
- Contribute to health & safety management, compliance reporting and co-ordination for the organisation
- Acting as production manager for pantomime, youth theatre productions and other inhouse productions
- Collaborate with the Youth & Education department to develop and deliver a range of educational initiatives for young talent, including a series of technical intensive sessions in light, sound and set design
- Develop the venue’s resources and ability to establish its self-produced programme
- In collaboration with the Director and Community Producer co-lead workforce wellbeing: an initiative to make The Roses a brilliant place to work for freelancers by providing wellbeing resources for all artists, crew and visiting creative staff, and ensuring our backstage, artist and crew areas are in excellent condition.
