JanuaryBeyond the Pencil - explore drawing in new and unexpected ways. Using homemade tools and unconventional materials, we’ll experiment with mark-making, texture, and line beyond traditional drawing methods. This session encourages play, curiosity, and discovery, helping you loosen up your approach and find fresh possibilities in your work.
FebruaryShape First, Imagination Second - playful and exploratory session that begins with creating collaged shapes rather than finished ideas. By starting with colour, form, and composition, we’ll allow unexpected shapes to suggest characters, objects, or scenes as we draw over and into them. This process encourages spontaneity, imagination, and a fresh way of seeing, helping you move beyond overthinking and discover images through making.
MarchSpring in Focus - gentle and observational drawing session inspired by the changing natural world around us. Through close looking and simple drawing exercises, we’ll translate the colours, textures, and forms of spring into expressive marks and lines on the page. This session encourages slowing down, noticing detail, and responding to nature in a personal way—whether working from direct observation or gathered references.
