Middle class couple Sarah (Shirley Henderson) and Tom (Alan Tudyk) are celebrating as they are just about to sell their home. The sale will resolve the financial difficulties they have had in recent years.  They invite their best friends Richard (Rufus Sewell) and Beth (Olivia Williams) over for a dinner party.  However, the evening gets off to a difficult start when the friends bring outspoken novelist Jessica (Indira Varma) with them. Things get catastrophic when Jessica is found dead in the garden later in the evening… A very funny black comedy that recalls everything from classic Hitchcock to Fawlty Towers episode The Kipper and the Corpse.
