A determined team of local business leaders and community champions are set to take on an epic mountain challenge in aid of The Roses Theatre.
The Challenge
On 28–29 March, Spectrum IT will lead the Twin Peaks Challenge – scaling the two highest peaks in Wales, Cadair Idris and Snowdon. Covering 15 miles and more than 6,000 feet of elevation (that’s over a vertical mile), the challenge promises to test endurance, resilience and teamwork, all in support of a much-loved local arts venue.
The challenge is spearheaded by Anthony Turnbull, founder of Spectrum IT, alongside Grant Hamel of High Performance People LTD and Mark Stancer of Your Adventure Challenge. Together, they have assembled an extraordinary group of participants committed to pushing their limits for a powerful community cause.
Spectrum IT exemplifies the power of local networking and collaboration in Tewkesbury. Now a proud supplier to The Roses Theatre, Anthony Turnbull also serves as a dedicated trustee, giving his time and expertise to help support the theatre’s future.
Your Adventure Challenge has raised thousands of pounds for charities over the years, bringing people together through shared outdoor experiences that inspire personal growth, build teamwork and create meaningful impact. Their ethos is simple: empower individuals to achieve their physical and mental goals while making unforgettable memories.
Anthony and Grant says:
“We’re doing this challenge because growth only happens when we step beyond what’s comfortable. It’s a chance to push limits, support a great cause in The Roses Theatre, and prove that with the right mindset and community, we can achieve far more than we think.
To go fast, go alone. To go far, go together. That’s what The Roses Theatre does for the community — and that’s what we’re doing with this challenge.”
The Team
Joining Anthony and Grant are: Caroline Lawrence from The Roses Theatre, Geoff Rowe and Andrew Calderon (Spectrum IT Consultancy), Freya Nash-Ceen (Vital Accounts Ltd), Aiden Stanley (Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd) and Stephen Martin.
Caroline, who represents The Roses on the climb, is no stranger to outdoor adventures — though mountain summits are new territory.
“It’s not every day you’re offered an adventure like this, so I jumped at the chance. The fact I can raise money for the valuable work my colleagues do at the same time is a huge bonus. I’ve been blown away by the generosity of my friends and family so far — even some of the shows that visit the theatre have donated, which is incredible!”
More Than a Mountain Climb
The team has been training rigorously since before January, committing time, energy and determination to prepare for the demanding ascent. They will set off for Wales at dawn on Saturday and aim to reach their final summit within 24 hours.
This is more than a physical challenge — it is a celebration of community, collaboration and the shared belief that together, we can achieve extraordinary things.
