About The Roses' Choir

The Roses Theatre’s Resident Community Choir.

The Roses Choir welcomes all singers: complete beginners, returning singers and those who have sung in choirs before! We aim to provide a wide programme that is stimulating for experienced choir singers whilst building skills & confidence in new choir singers. We sing popular music & musical theatre songs from the twentieth and twenty first century, covering a wide range of musical styles & genres. We use lyric sheets and learn harmonies and melodies by ear. There are no auditions, no solos, you don’t need to read sheet music and all performances are optional. The guiding principle of the choir is to enjoy ourselves through singing and to experience the uplifting and powerful effects of singing together in community.

This group is for you if:

  • You’d like a weekly singing session.
  • You’d like to learn to sing in harmony.
  • You’d like to perform at local events including Tewkesbury Christmas Lights Switch On, National Trust Croome and at our annual performance in the Roses Auditorium.
  • You’d like to develop yourself musically & vocally but in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Each session is £7, payable half termly in advance.
