Future’s Now Festival is back for year three, and thanks to everyone who donated to Big Give, it’s bigger, bolder and built by young people.
This FREE one-day takeover celebrates film, gaming and tech—with screenings, VR, retro games and hands-on workshops for curious minds of all ages.
Whether you’re 5 or 25 (or somewhere in between), this is your space to game, create and connect.
Cinema Stage: Where Gaming and Film Collide
Film screenings all day
- Morning magic for families and younger kids
- Afternoon films chosen with teens in mind
- Evening screenings for young adults (15+)
All films will be chosen by groups of young people and announced in late Feb/early Mar.
VR Gaming Stage: Step Into Another Reality
Get ready to lose yourself in the world of Virtual Reality!
Whether you're slicing through beats, testing your skills in the workplace of the future, or diving into new experiences, this is your chance to experience gaming like never before.

How to Take Part
- Sign up on the day to book a 10-minute slot – spaces are limited, so don’t miss out (Please note: It will be busy, so leave plenty of time if you are planning on attending a film or workshop)
- Ages 8+ (Anyone under 16 must have a parent/guardian’s permission).
- Unfortunately, we cannot allow participation for those with epilepsy for safety reasons.
