News Story

Bloomin’ Fest is back—and bigger than ever! Head down to Sun Street on Fri 15 May from 6.00pm as the music kicks in and the atmosphere comes alive, launching Tewkesbury’s Big Weekend in style.

After celebrating our 50th anniversary last year with a vibrant throwback to the 70s—complete with retro fashion and music—we’re excited to return to Sun Street for another unforgettable evening.

Food, Drinks & Festive Vibes

With free entry, Bloomin’ Fest promises a night packed with great food, drinks and live entertainment. This year’s food vendors, Ice Cream Cottage and Hungry Monkey, will be serving up delicious bites to keep you fuelled throughout the evening. Make a night of it—the bar from The Roses Theatre will be open all evening, offering refreshing drinks to enjoy alongside the music.

We’re thrilled to announce this year’s live music lineup. Taking to the stage are crowd favourites Dhalia, who headlined Tewkesbury Live last year, alongside She Don’t Lie and Flat Tonic. Closing the night, Teaks returns with a DJ set guaranteed to end the evening on a high.

Dhalia are an indie rock band formed in 2023. Blending melodic guitars, atmospheric textures and energetic rhythms, their sound draws on classic indie influences while maintaining a modern alternative edge. Their sets feature a mix of original material and carefully selected covers, bringing a fresh yet familiar energy to the stage.

Flat Tonic are an incredibly energetic three-piece band, known for their crowd-pleasing mix of rock, indie and pub classics. Having played major events such as Lakefest, Appfest and Campervan Campout, they’re guaranteed to keep you dancing and singing all night long.

She Don’t Lie are a high-energy covers band, fusing the grooves of funk, the soul of blues and the raw power of rock. Made up of seasoned musicians, they deliver electrifying performances that keep the dance floor packed and the good times rolling.

What Your Support Makes Possible

This year, all funds raised will support our brand-new campaign, Made for You by The Roses. We believe in the power of the arts to transform places and people—and with your support, we can continue to keep local culture thriving in Tewkesbury.

Donations will help fund exciting initiatives, including the development of Tweedy and Fluff, our much-loved annual Christmas pantomime Sleeping Beauty as well as The Roses Garden Festival 2026 and much more.

Join us for a fantastic evening and be part of something special.
