News Story

After three incredible years of creativity, connection and innovation, The Future’s Now Festival is back this Easter — taking place on Sat 11 Apr, 10.00am–4.30pm.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of supporters during our December Big Give campaign, we are delighted to bring the festival back — bigger and better than ever. Your donations have made it possible for us to create a vibrant, welcoming space where young people can be creative, connect with others and feel a true sense of belonging.

A Full-Day Takeover of Gaming, Film and VR

Building on the success of previous years, the festival will once again host a full-day gaming, film and VR takeover. This is a space designed especially for young people — somewhere to game, create and connect while exploring new activities and discovering fresh creative passions.

Danielle Lewis, Marketing & Events officer says:

"I’m extremely excited that we’ve been able to bring back The Future’s Now Festival for the third year, with the help of Big Give and the fantastic people who supported the campaign. The Future’s Now Festival is such an amazing day that allows young people to experience film, gaming and workshops for free — something that feels more important than ever."

New for 2026

We’re excited to introduce animation workshops running from 10.00am–3.45pm in the studio. These hands-on sessions will give young creatives the opportunity to explore animation techniques and develop their skills.

Following the workshops, we’ll host an informal Careers Chat, offering guidance and insight for young people who are interested in creative industries but may be unsure about the pathways available to them.

"It is so important for us to encourage young people to come into The Roses, to have a fun time with their family and friends and to feel that this space belongs to them. Each year we’re adding new experiences to the festival and this year it’s animation workshops led by the brilliant team at Chocolate Films.

We hope that this festival gives young people the chance to connect with each other, to try something new and to enjoy a day filled with creativity, energy and fun."
