The Future's Now Big Give

Double your impact from Tue 2 - 9 Dec to help young people across Gloucestershire connect, create and thrive.

Many young people today are feeling increasingly isolated, with mental health challenges on the rise.

Research shows that UK 15-year-olds report some of the lowest happiness levels in Europe.

At the same time, fewer young people are engaging with the arts and local culture, missing out on vital ways to connect, express themselves and build confidence.

The Future’s Now Festival

Through our The Future's Now Festival we can creatively tackle loneliness. We want to create free creative events, workshops and social spaces where teenagers can explore film, gaming and digital storytelling.

Young people help shape the programme themselves, giving them a voice, agency and a sense of ownership in their community.

The Roses Theatre is a registered charity. Your donation helps us create inclusive, creative opportunities for young people across Gloucestershire.

Your Donation Doubled

From Tue 2 - 9 Dec, we’re taking part in The Big Give — and your donation will be doubled at no extra cost to you.

We’re aiming to raise £5,000, which will unlock £5,000 in match funding to reach our £10,000 target.

Your support will directly fund the The Future’s Now Film & Gaming Festival, a free, creative celebration for young people during the 2026 Easter half-term.

What Your Donation Will Achieve

  • Freecreative events and workshops in film and gaming

  • Safe, inclusive spaces for young people to meet and belong

  • Opportunities to express themselves and build confidence

  • Peer-led activities that support wellbeing and connection

Thank you to Julia Rausing Trust and an independent donor for matching donations during the Big Give campaign.
