About Rose of Nevada

A vanished boat returns. A village holds its breath. Time refuses to behave.

From BAFTA‑winning filmmaker Mark Jenkin (Bait, Enys Men) comes a haunting, time‑slipping drama set in a once‑thriving Cornish fishing village. Thirty years after the trawler Rose of Nevada was lost with all hands, the boat mysteriously reappears in the harbour, stirring old griefs and fragile hopes. When local father Nick (George MacKay) and drifter Liam (Callum Turner) join the vessel’s new crew, their first voyage ends in the impossible: they return to shore decades in the past, mistaken for the original fishermen.

Shot on handheld 16mm in Jenkins’ distinctive lo-fi style, Rose of Nevada is an atmospheric, eerie and deeply human, exploration of community, sacrifice and the pull of the past.
