The Roses Theatre is delighted to announce the appointment of Florrie Taylor as the new Director of Roses Young Creatives (RYC).
Launched in 2022 with just 40 performers, RYC has rapidly grown into one of the area’s most exciting youth theatre programmes. Following three successful productions, the group has expanded its sessions to run over two days, now offering two Senior groups (Years 7–9)—and even welcoming a waiting list of eager young talent ready to shine on stage.
Florrie is already a familiar and much-loved face at RYC. She's led RYC Minis, the theatre’s preschool youth group since September last year and served as Movement Director for the recent production of The Wizard of Oz. Her creativity, experience, and passion for nurturing young talent make her the ideal leader as RYC embarks on its next exciting chapter.
“I'm thrilled to be to be back working with RYC as Director this year! Having seen first-hand the passion and potential within our young performers, I’m excited to help nurture their creativity and guide them as they discover new strengths both on and off the stage,” said Florrie, RYC Leader. “Youth theatre is such a powerful space for building confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of the arts, and I can't wait to see how our young people grow and develop this year.”

As the new RYC year begins on Monday 8 September, Roses Theatre invites the community to join in congratulating Florrie and supporting the continued growth of this vibrant youth theatre programme.
