The Roses Choir is delighted to announce the appointment of Gill Robinson as its new choir leader. Gill will officially begin her role on Monday 8 September.
The Roses Choir has grown from strength to strength, now boasting over 40 members who come together weekly at The Roses to share their passion for singing. More than a choir, it has become a true community — a family bonded by music. This July, the choir celebrated in style with its annual summer concert, marking The Roses Theatre’s 50th anniversary with a special Summer of 70s performance. The celebrations continue as the choir ushers in the festive season with its annual Christmas Concert on Sunday 30 December.
Gill brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role, having previously led as Choir Leader and Conductor at the Tower of London and performed both as part of a choir and as a soloist at prestigious events, including the London Stock Exchange Closing Party.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Gill to The Roses Choir. Her experience and energy are a perfect match for our community and we're excited to see how she will inspire and grow the choir in the months ahead. A big thank you to Lindsay Martin who has brilliantly led the choir and continues to lead our Sing for Health & Wellbeing groups and work with us on vocal health and wellbeing.” said Meg Dunford, Creative Health and Community Producer.
Passionate about empowering voices of all ages, Gill combines her professional stage experience with her teaching skills to inspire confidence, creativity and musical excellence. With Gill at the helm, The Roses Choir is looking forward to an exciting new chapter.
