Roses Young Creatives (RYC)

Curated and led by practising theatre maker, director and performer Florrie Taylor.

What is RYC?

Roses Young Creatives (RYC) is a place where young people aged 3-18 can explore, create and belong.

More than just a youth theatre, RYC gives young people the freedom to shape their own creative journey. From devising scenes and writing scripts to choreographing movement and influencing design, members are encouraged to take ownership of every stage of the theatre-making process. Along the way, they're supported by a professional creative team who guide, inspire and help bring their ideas to life.

RYC is a community where young people feel at home. It's a place to build lasting friendships, discover new passions and be surrounded by people who share a love of creativity. Every member has a voice and productions are developed around their interests, strengths and ambitions in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

As well as creating exciting performances, members develop skills that extend far beyond the stage. Confidence, communication, collaboration, empathy and creative problem-solving are all nurtured through making theatre together.

Why Join RYC?

Creative ownership

Be more than a performer. Alongside acting, members can contribute ideas, write scenes, choreograph movement, direct moments and help shape each production from the ground up.

Find your people

Become part of a supportive community where friendships are built through creativity, collaboration and shared experiences.

Real productions for real life

Take part in high-quality productions for real audiences, working alongside experienced theatre professionals in a working theatre.

A programme built around you

Every young person is different. That's why RYC adapts to each member's interests, skills and pace, creating opportunities that help them grow in the way that's right for them.

Learn from industry professionals

RYC is led by an experienced creative team with professional theatre backgrounds and industry connections, giving members access to unique opportunities, expert guidance and an inspiring environment to develop their creativity.
